Scanprobe Easy-Smoker launched in UK

Posted on: November 15th, 2013

With the Scanprobe Easy-Smoker you are able to trace difficult leaks. The equipment has a short warm-up time, so that you can quickly start your analysis.

During the inspection of pipelines and drains, it may happen that a leak is difficult to trace. There is often also an odour nuisance. In such cases, the Scanprobe Easy-Smoker is a solution.

After you have sealed off  the normal pipeline exits, you can blow smoke into the pipeline system with the aid of the hose with connector supplied. Due to the pressure built up, the smoke will go through the leak to outside. In this way, you are able to trace the leak simply yet effectively.

The powerful fan and smoke element always supply you with sufficient smoke. The Scanprobe Easy-Smoker is water resistant so, it can be used safely in the outdoors. The internal storage tank of 1.5 litres is easy to top up with Pro smoke liquid, from the 5-litre jerry cans.

Scanprobe systems are developed to reflect the end user’s requirements. During development, continuous improvement of ease of use and functionality is aimed at. In this, productivity of use is key. Durability is essential and is also tested in our test centre. The necessary wear components are easily replaceable by you or by our service centre.

Scanprobe Colourprobe Crawler 3001

Posted on: November 15th, 2013

The Scanprobe Colourprobe Crawler 3001 Pan & Tilt Pipeline inspection System for surveying pipes from 150 – 1000mm, DVR records onto USB memory sticks, 110 – 240volt mains or generator, 200 metre cable as standard (additional lengths available to order), text and on-screen meterage with optional inclinometer module for gradient measurement.

The Control Unit is supplied in a durable PELI type case and is lightweight and easily portable. All the controls for operating the system are incorporated into the control unit with a compact 78-key qwerty keyboard, along with a text generating system and 10.4″ TFT monitor, and coloured control pads for Camera, Crawler, Lights and DVR operation.

The Pan and Rotate Inspection Camera can be mounted in various positions on the Crawler. The whole camera and crawler system has been kept as short as possible to allow easy access to the pipe via the manhole. A range of wheels and spacers provide inspections from 150mm diameter to 1000mm diameter pipes.

The Crawler is fitted with a powerful 150W 48V DC Motor, fitted to a 42mm diameter planetary gearbox. This gives a maximum output torque of 15Nm. Drive to the axle is via a 3:1 bevel gear set and conversion to 4WD via chain and sprockets. The crawler comes complete with a fitted Pan and tilt camera, and fitted wheels for 150mm and upwards pipe inspection.

The Cable Drum has a maximum capacity of 200 metre cable as standard (additional lengths available to order) and is a manual hand wind, and layering system. It incorporates a slip ring assembly which allows for continuous operation, with no interference on the monitor. Using a ¼ metre cable counter wheel and encoder, it measures the amount of cable being used to give an accurate position of the camera/crawler. This information is displayed in the text generator on the monitor.

No Dig Live 2013

No Dig Live 2013 Exhibition stand

Scanprobe management attended the No Dig Live 2013 expo in Sydney, Australia earlier this year to support our Australian agent, No Dig Depot.

The exhibition, known as No-Dig Downunder, held from 1-4 September was the ISTT’s 31st No-Dig event, co-hosted by the Australasian Society for Trenchless Technology.

The event officially began with an Oktoberfest-styled Exhibition Opening, where delegates enjoyed the chance to network in a ‘beer and bratwurst’ themed evening. Featuring more than 140 booths from 124 exhibitors, the exhibition hall was a constant stream of activity where delegates could view the latest in Trenchless Technology.

The Conference’s technical sessions were comprised of 60 individual sessions held over three days, covering 18 different topics, with speakers representing 15 different countries. These were well attended and provided an opportunity for delegates to learn from trenchless experts worldwide.
